Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked DutchZwolle (6-8) was defeated at home by second ranked Belgian Kortrijk (11-3) 89-71 on Sunday. Kortrijk outrebounded Zwolle 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard John Newman III (196-1999, college: Cincinnati) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import Eric Reed Jr (192-2000, college: MSU) helped adding 17 points. Kortrijk's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Kai Edwards (206-1997, college: N.Colorado) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Dylan Penn (190, college: Vermont) scored 18 points and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kortrijk . They maintain second place with 11-3 record behind leader Oostende. Zwolle lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Aalst.
